Second day of season my stepson killed his first buck this year. I glassed him up about 800 yards off. We were able to get in to 180 yards. He hammered him one shot. We had a 2 mile pack out just him and I. He got to experience the real deal his first hunt. From the glassing to the packout. I think he's hooked now! Then last Sunday my buddy and I pulled a double in the same draw. Made for a long morning but it was all smiles when we got to the rig for a cold coors.

Congrats you guys did great!! With the hot weather and the full moon it was tough especially the last weekend. I found one small fork but decided to let him walk so tag soup for me:)
We had a very tough hunt this year, too. Had the last 6 days of the season to hunt and the full moon fell smack in the middle of our time. We were hunting sage/timber interface and the bucks were few and far between during daylight. Eked out a decent three point on the second to last day, but I think most of the bucks were bedded well before daylight and not getting up until moonrise.
