Since many previous items guys mentioned, I carry in my bino harness, I will not include them.
In my pack, here are what never leave...

I always have on me my rifle (to kill elk and personal defense) , flint and steal (to start fires with), and a hand mirror (to signal incase of problems and to check my rifle scope after a bad fall).

This is a tough thread to answer, as there are definitely more than 3 items that ALWAYS go with me, and coffee is one of those. But there are probably 15 other items that I would never go without as well.
