3 bar slider frustration on older KIfaru Grab-IT & DT3

I dug out an older Kifaru DT3 and wanted to remove the Grab-IT (older style). I have never had so much trouble with removing a pocket or accessory as I did with this setup. It was very frustrating. I'm not sure if the material on the Grab-It is thicker or what exactly the reason for the difficulty is but I am hesitant to reattach the Grab-it given the degree of frustration I had with it.

I know the 3 bar slider can be tricky but this was next level difficult. If I had this much trouble in an air conditioned, well lit home I can't imagine trying to do so in the field.

What is a good remedy here?

If you experience the same difficulty as I, I’ve used a needle nose pliers to work the e bar with webbing through the female loop. Hope this helps.

Thanks. That's what I ended up doing. I appreciate your response! That is the only way I know of without re-engineering the attachment system altogether.
