I got an email this morning from Triple Aught Design showing a new jacket release that has me interested. They are claiming a 3.5oz weight and 10,000/30,000 rating. It packs down really small. I would love to hear some actual user feedback. I might pick one up to test. I would like to see some pants as well.

All the TAD gear I have used so far has been high quality and dependable, so I'm hopeful.

$450 is getting you most brands' top line jacket. They ought to market these things to cyclists, they love dropping stupid money to save a few grams

It’s 3.5oz for a medium, probably 4.5-5oz for an xl which is still a 2-2.5oz savings over my OR helium jacket. My question would be can it justify the price in performance because the weight savings alone isn’t enough for me.

+1, got a mont-bell versalite and used it on early hunts this fall. I’ve been impressed, 6oz, $180.

I’m all for shedding weight but $250 for 2oz is steep!
