Has anyone used the smaller used the smallest Tangent Theta 3-15 with 30mm tube that is like 27 ounces for a sheep/backpack rifle?
I have the 5-25 on my long range rifle and it is the best piece of glass I’ve ever looked thru, but it’s too big and heavy for a backpack rifle at 39 oz.
Any help would be appreciated on a backpack rifle scope.
thanks

I just looked at that scope at Shot. Seemed like a very nice scope. But I would pick the Swaro X5 over it at the same weight and similar price tag.

I’m expecting my tt315m this next week. Going to put it up next to the z8i which is a bad momma. Glass is the same between the P and M models but your elevation adjustment will be considerably less with the 30mm.

As of this past Thursday at SHOT we are now a Tangent dealer. If we can assist anyone please give us a call, 516-217-1000

I havent looked through the Tanget Theta but I settled on the March 2.5-25x42mm sfp. It weighs 22oz and has 100 moa adjustment in elevation and windage. They also off a ffp version that weighs the same, I just prefer sfp for hunting. The glass is better then my nf nxs and on par with my kahles 624i.

Anyone out there own a 3-15 TT?
I’m getting ready to order one if they are 75% of the 5-25!
I was shooting yesterday at 970 yards and my cousin had his good Zeiss vs my 5-25 TT we both looked at each then we just looked at stuff at 1580 yds the TT is by far a much better piece of glass.
I am willing to sacrifice 5-8 ounces for the TT to get a great optic I can depend on!
