I've got 2 different 1 man(sorta small honestly and condescension can be terrible)trekking pole tents and a 4 man tipi(it just takes up a lot of room and I'd rather not drag that around). I'm looking at either the argali 2p or durston x-mid solid

I've got the X-Mid solid, it's legit. Gets too warm in the summer. Perfect in the fall.

Have a buddy with the Argali, I've got nothing bad to say about that tent either.

Both companies are run by outstanding guys who put a lot of thought into their product, I'd have zero hesitation carrying either one in the mountains. The sil poly they use is SOOOO much nicer than Silnylon if you hunt in wetter climates, no sag!

Thanks for the help!!! I don't know if I any closer to a decision though. Lol. Only difference for me right now is x-mid is in stock and argali is set to be back in stock in around a week.

I've used the Xmid 2p on 3 hunts and a fishing trip. It's nice and roomy for one, but if you're in steep terrain finding a big enough level area can be a challenge. Otherwise no complaints. It handled a crazy windy night impressively well up in the Alberta rockies.

No experience with the Argali.

I've been eyeing the new Durston X Dome 1+

Wellllllll today the argali 2p rincon came back in stock. I just ordered it with the half nest.

I think you'll be pleased. I have a Rincon and have used it in tons of varying conditions, it's a great setup and having the versatility to add the nest is great. +1 to the silpoly comment above too.
