I am a fairly new hunter and have been fortunate to be on some successful hunts with family and have learned a lot. This year I thought it was time to pick up a tag and go fail/learn on my own a bit. I picked up a 2nd season doe tag in a unit that will have OTC elk and they increased buck tag numbers by 50% for whatever reason. Needless to say there will be a lot of hunters around. I put some miles on the boots and scouted the units this past weekend and found a lot of does on private ag fields, bumped a couple deer in the timber around 9,000ft, and found really old deer sign between 7100ft - 8,500ft. I was hoping for any other tips on finding does in second season. I can get up fairly high in this unit and hunt low on a river. Thanks in advance!

Does this unit run along a very major river in CO? If so, check the powerline clearcuts in the evening.
It does haha, thank you I appreciate the input. I will have to e scout and find some of the cuts and commit to an evening for a check!
