I'd do a Tikka t3x, get it threaded and cut to 18-20" as needed. Put a SUPPRESSOR on it ,not a "loudener, brake". Then put the rest into a March 2.5x25x50(maybe they have something new) scope.

I'm actually doing this exact thing right now. It's at the smith getting chopped. I'm gonna be running a dedicated supressor but the gentleman I'm looking at guns for doesn't currently want to run one. If you wear earplugs it's not any louder.

You bet...I just can't be tracking keyed up whitetails or bulls thinking I have to somehow get ear plugs in before he bolts😁

$2k & 9 pounds for rifle only or everything?

For rifle only, probably something like:

For everything, I'd get a second job :ROFLMAO:

I built an Origin rifle in 280AI thst came in right at 10 pounds with a big scope on it, a sturdy 24" barrel and a sturdy stock for under $2K (Ex: scope)

If I swap to my lighter scope, I am pretty much at his weight target.

With a short action, 18-20" barrel nut barrel (they are lighter than the shouldered barrels), and a stock swap, I am easily under the weight limit and probably under 8.

My brake went back in the box as soon as I pulled the rifle out. 6.5 Creedmoor with 120 gr NBT is a pussycat.

If he’s so recoil shy that he needs to brake a 6.5 CM, and you said he just wants to kill deer, go for a Tikka or Sako in .243 and forget the fire cracker up front.

Springfield Armory Waypoint 2020 no question. Damn nice factory rifle that feels custom. I set one up for my kids w/ NF scope & thunderbeast suppressor. Originally intended for wife and kids but I’d be lying if I didn’t enjoy the gun as well. I am comfortable enough in my own skin to own a 6.5 manbun. When my ego needs stroked I take out the 338 snipetac and pack around a 16lb gun in the timber- be a man! Lol

Imo a brake on a Creed makes sense less for recoil, but for longer range if you care about wanting to see your hits.

Barrett Fieldcraft if you can find one or Tikka T3x stainless. If he needs a brake maybe a 223 would be a better idea.

Kelbys nanook action- 24oz
18” carbon six barrel- 2#10oz?
Hawkins bottom metal- 5oz
Trigger tech- 2oz
Carbon stock- 24oz?
