@blakeshooter thanks! I actually ended up with a Tikka 6.5 PRC. I'm not putting much money in it other than the Trijicon AccuPoint 2.5-12.5x42. Also have quality rings and a rail (for bipod) from Unknown Munitions. Then I have a bipod from Tricer. It's at the gun smith getting the barrel shortened to 21" so it fits in my double bow hard case for air travel. Then I can put it together and start shooting.

I already want a bigger rifle lol. This stuff is addicting and probably why it took me 39 years to start getting into firearms. But I'm going to work with what I have and see where I stand with recoil, weight, length, magnification, range etc. I'm not the least bit worried about barrel life. I'll be dead before anything I own sees 1000 rounds. I'm a hunter, not a comp shooter. Obviously hunting means range practice, but....especially with the Tikka stainless barrel where you're supposed to let it cool off a few minutes between shots so it will take me an eternity to kill the barrel.

Good to hear! There's an overwhelming amount of love for that caliber on here. I got the Tikka T3X Lite 6.5 PRC w stainless barrel from Eurooptic. They had it marked down to $600 and $75 rebate. Then the scope was $910 from $1442..also got a Sig P320 XTen 10mm and they had everything to my FFL the next day. Amazing
