In a Win 22" featherweight, I get 2850 from a 150 Hor SP and about that accuracy,, measured at 400-550 yards. 53 of IMR 4350 which is safe in mine but work up to it as it is 1/2 gr over the Hor manual's max in the new book.

I had this dilemma a year ago, I believe someone posted the thread here. I ended up staying with my .270 and basically did a totally make over on the rifle. For me the differences were not worth for me switching since I do not reload myself, and my good friend shoots the same caliber. But, I do have a 300 win. mag if I want some more gun.

I think I will eventually build a 280ai with a fast twist to shoot the 169 hammers, my buddy accuracy node is at 3060 with that combo using RL26.
Would you be willing to get that recipe and what brass is he using?

Yeah here is a spreadsheet we use for finding nodes. He is using RL26, Peterson Brass, 215M’s and the 169 Hammers.

With gun in vice on bench he was shooting .6” groups at 300 yards. I will note it is a custom rifle he built himself with a 24” proof barrel.
