🤔 I thought hammers would squib if they weren’t running at 4k+! Better get some fairy dust asap.

I was thinking of trying 57.5, 58, and 58.5 stopping where I hit pressure and load 10.
exactly what I did, started at 57.0 though. 58.5 showed no problems and gave a great group so that's what I went with. no need to go higher at this point, for me.

I'm shooting 56.5 grs of H1000 in my 26" ACE barrel with the 156 berger and getting 2865 fps.

I see nothing wrong with your load, other than slower than normal speeds. Your in the bottom node, and it's extremely low psi I'm sure. You could prob dump a bottle of water down the magazine and the barrel, shake it out and shoot it without pressure signs, this is not a bad thing. I run my 28" 65cm match rife in the same velocity range and it's also pretty low in psi. Keep your impact velocity threshold at 2k fps and go kill shit.

Shot a 10 shot group today at 100. Grouped well averaged 2812 fps.

Had some slight ejector marks though. I think I’ll load 10 more at 58. I’ll loose 25fps but hopefully there will be no pressure signs.

I need to give the 156 a try in my Seekins as well. I have plenty of 565 to work with.

I'd suggest try testing lapua/adg brass. Drop to 57.5 and work back up. Norma brass is notably soft. It's consistent brass with uniform capacity, just behind the other premium brands in case head and web strength.

I’ll do that. I was able to take an elk at 530 and it worked like a champ. Now that we’re in the off season I’ll start messing with it.
