260 Remington

I have ruger American in 260 with 129 gr sst and h4350 shoots great .And yes they did make a ruger in 260.

I just won an auction on 7/13 for a pristine Montana in 260. I've been looking for one for many years, and almost fell out of my chair when I ran across this one.
Kimber didn't produce very many in 260 Rem chamber, and stopped production around '10 or '11. Those were the bad years for Kimber QC. I'll go through the "Kimber checklist", and pretty sure I'll get it dialed in. I have 3 other 84Ms that I've been able to solve and work up good loads for. But I'm curious if anyone has an 84M in 260, and your experiences. Thanks.

I’ve never seen one in person, but that looks like a nice combination!

Wow that sounds like an awesome rifle, I own a Remington model seven in 260 and I also have a 660 243 and a 600 308 Mohawk, would love to see pictures.

I promise I will post pictures when I get it. He is has to blue the barrel and few other finishing touches for me. I am like a kid waiting for Christmas!!

My 260 Montana is the one least likely to ever leave.....

Berger 130 Hybrids are excellent in a .260. You can usually load them to mag length because they are short. They will shoot great with H4350. I have shot 2930 to 2960 ish fps out of 2 different 26" barreled guns. Hammers.

You and I were going back and forth on that one...good score.

I doubt it'll need much tinkering, I've got 5, they all shoot

@ianpadron ,thanks.
Yeah, I had been looking a long time for a Montana in 260. I was really surprised when this one popped up with such great condition. Sorry I beat you out, but it would have taken a lot more to win this gun from me.
Not to rub it in, but I threw a Trijicon Accupoint on it and loaded up some 129 Interlocks, just to zero the scope and get some rounds through the tube. After just 3 rounds to zero, it ended up stacking 15 that I could cover with a nickel. It was only 50yds and a pretty generic load, but I think it's gonna be a winner.
Best of luck to you if you're still looking.

Yeah that doesn't make me wish id have paid more at all! 🤣🤣🤣

I've got a 6.5 Montana that will do the same, definitely not the cool factor of your 260 though, enjoy the gun and stack some critters with it!
