26 Years of Failure

Its one thing to save up points for something cool while knowing that you could draw a lesser hunt for DEAB. But when it comes to those MSG tags, I never understood who anyone in the bottom half would even keep trying/buying points. It just doesn't make much sense.

Glad I just went hunting for moose when I did and never got into the MSG points scam.

Bummer. This is my 26th year applying in Washington. I'm hoping my luck is better than yours.

Conversely, I drew Idaho the first year I applied in 2005. Back then there were several Idaho units that had more tags than applicants and the left overs would go to a second draw. LOL

I have now failed to draw a Colorado Bull Moose tag 26 years in a row.
Well, if you hang in there a little longer it’s beginning to look like you won’t have to be concerned with whether or not you’re drawn….because there won’t be any tags for moose hunting. Or anything else, for that matter.

My moose hunting career lasted 4 days total. We paid $5,900 DIY per hunter in 2019 with Papa Bear Adventures in Unit 18, Bethel, Alaska. No draw. No wait. No points. Over-the-counter tags. Equipment rented. Dropped off in the lap of moose.

We killed 2 bulls over 50+ inches in less than 4 days. We were back to town on Day 5. My buddy was back at his house in 7 days in the lower 48.

You may want to give them a call if you really want to moose hunt before you die. No guarantee of drawing a moose tag in Colorado in the next 26 years…Just a thought!

Happy hunting to all, TheGrayRider a/k/a Tom.

Prices are considerably more than that now, and they are booked out multiple years! But there are still Canada Moose hunts for similar prices.....

You missed out......... There was a time when it was very doable and wasn't a scam. At least for CO.
