.257 WBY..... H1000, IMR4831 or Retumbo?

Getting ready to develop a new load for my 257 Roy with these powders using 100 grain ttsx. Have been running RL 22 but it's been a love, hate relationship getting consistancy so I'm gonna be moving away from it. I'm leaning towards the three powders mentioned in the title of the thread because I have plenty on hand. I will be lighting these off with a Fed 215 mag primer out of a Model 700 CDL. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I’ve got a Remington 700 chambered in .257bee as well. I’ve had pretty good luck with 60.0 grains of IMR4831. Thats the minimum load for the 100gr TTSX but it’s been accurate in my rifle.

100gr TTSX and either IMR7828 or Ramshot Magnum is what I’d start with. Out of your 3 choices I’d go with H1000.

Out of the 3 you mention I've had the best results from my 270 wby with H1000. It did not do very well with retumbo. As Cahunter805 mentioned, 7828 is another one that is worth a try.

My rifle shot IMR4831 extremely well with 80 grain TTSX the one time I played around with that combo. Maybe it will be the answer for the 100's as well only time will tell. The RL22 usually runs .75 to 1.0 at 100 yards witch is awesome, except sometimes it just seems to shoot wild opening up to almost 2 inches or more and throwing flyers. All my powder charges are weighed out one by one so I can't blame that for my problems. I have read about temperature sensitivity and suspect that as the culprit. This rifle gets used when air temps are ranging anywhere from 10 degrees to 110 degrees so something consistent and stable is what I'm after. H1000 has shot lights out in my 7mm Rem Mag so I hope that carries over to the .257 as well. The Retumbo is more so just out of curiosity to see if the gun likes it. Only left to do is go shoot and see what happens. Thanks to all for the feedback.

I had one 257 Roy that worked well with 100gr TSX and Hodgon 100V. I've also had great results with 110gr and 115gr with H1000 and H4831SC.

same here, same gun, but I'm at 64 grains if I remember right, a half moa gun at 100
