Would love to hear how the experience was. I wanted to go but wife just gave birth to our child so I opted out.

It was ok. I'll do it again next year. I don't understand why they have a competitive "division" other than to make the workout more difficult. There were no additional awards, just a harder workout.

Essentially men's non-competitive = 30lb pack, competitive = 40lb pack. They let the group through the timer, everyone got on the wall together and began

1 min wall sit together, with pack.
- Rest is on your own...
10x lateral burpees over pack
20x Zurcher squats with pack in arms
put pack on and go down the hall to the next room.

After every room, you went down the hallways, up the flight of stairs halfway down the sky bridge, back where you came from, but to the next room. Maybe 200m total?

The first room was 100/150 step-ups to a Yeti 65
Second room was 20/30 get ups (my least favorite, they were not difficult, just time consuming and created rug burn on the knees)
Third room was a bucket carry that I think had a 40lb sand bag? We did 12 laps which I think was maybe 400-500 meters. Limited at speed to the people in front of you.
Fourth and final room was 100/150 lunges.
One last lap to the sky bridge, back to the starting area, then...

10x lateral burpees over pack
20x Zurcher squats with pack in arms
1 min wall sit with pack

It was a good workout. Just a straight quad burner. I liked the movement of room to room, the setup ups, lunges, etc. Wasnt a fan of the bucket carry, or get ups. They had a good turn out. I think they said 500+ signed up.

1st in each group and age division received an MKC speed goat, and handed out a lot of gifts. They a great amount into giving things away, which was cool. The guy who won the Sheep hunt was from Denmark. First time in the US. I personally would have liked to seen a little more for competitive folk as well as accountability for movement. Even my friends who don't work out much were shocked at how bad some of the form was, but hey, at least they got people moving...

In the competitive division, I think the "accurate" times were in the low 30's. I came in at 37 minutes, and was 7th in the 40-50 age group.

Thanks for the details. I was originally thinking of signing up, but ended up having a travel conflict. I'm a little disappointed to see it was an indoor workout, I thought for sure it would have been something outside. I'm guessing logistics didn't allow for it.
