25 creed speed

Last weekend was first time ever using it so very limited data to go off of. I have some further testing to evaluate but it does look promising.

For example some 3 round groups around +/- 0.5" or smaller at 100 yards but a few anomalies with speed are puzzling me. not sure if it was a bad throw of powder or chrono glitched.

At 500 yards with a 3 shot group I had 2 bullets nearly same impact but about 6" from intended POI and last shot was bullseye. All 3 same elevation and wind was light and variable so not the best data to go off of.

I'm going out this weekend for more testing.
Sounds promising please keep me updated.

My buddy and I have twin barrels. I haven't shot mine yet because I'm shorter on time and funds. We have identical twist, length, and profile. 24" barrel.

He's getting 2840 with berger 135's with a .045 jump to the lands. Alpha brass, cci450, I think its 41.5g of 4350

I'm sizing some 6.5 hornady brass this weekend and will be breaking in with 134 ELDM using 40-41.5g of RL17 with CCI 200. I'll be doign a .045 jump as well to start.

Curious what speeds guys are seeing out of 18-20” 25 Creeds with 134s. I would imagine 2750-2800 would be the top end but maybe I’m wrong.
I have a 20" barrel 1:7 shooting the 134 ELDM's and I am at 2790 with a pretty good group. Using H4350

Sounds promising please keep me updated.
Well weekend report is a little dismal. All charges verified on both electronic and balance beam. All alpha brass CCI 450, 122 Copper Rose, Staball 6.5. New powder just opened. Bullets are jumping 50 thou and set just under mag length. Rifle has been verified to shoot 134's just fine.

Highlights
1. ES is jumping +50 FPS on some groups, while in single digit on next. and over a handful of groups ES is maybe +65
2. Seems like if the barrel gets warm(more than 3 shots the groups open up) Maybe not a Staball issue
3. POI day to day varies and moves around with the velocity( higher velocity the bullets seem to impact further away from center). Not sure if this could be affected by how clean the barrel is. Barrel has been cleaned 4-5 times not going more than 50 shots. This powder is dirtier than 4350

There is one velocity node that the gun really likes and if a small sample size (3 shots) seem to all be consistent then that group looks great. Repeating exact same load sequence from day to day seems to not be repeatable.
I think its time to move on to another powder. I have about +60 rounds invested in this and I do not have confidence that I have figured out a combo to invest any more time with.

I will be switching to H4350, and maybe something else and seeing what it will do with this bullet. I can shoot the 134 ELDM's just fine but trying to fine tune the 122's is the goal since I am in California and need a lead free bullet.
