24" too long?

Just had my Cooper M52 300 win mag cut down from 26 to 22 and threaded. Haven't shot it yet, but I'm liking how it handles with the SRD762 suppressor. Future intended use for this rifle is Moose/Grizzly in Alaska, so figuring well inside of 200 yards for most shots.

I can totally get a longer barrel on dedicated LR rifles where the length won’t matter. Hope it helped.

My 26” barrel 7prc with a brake is the longest rifle I’d want western hunting. Just my .02
