PSA had these yesterday. Snagged one. Pretty dang good deal and comes with a dot.

I've been wanting one for a long time but they've always been out of stock everywhere.

Ordered a hellbound suppressor holster for it.

Where I shoot there's always rattle snakes. Going to keep this on me for walking back and forth to the target. So I can take care of any satanic creatures and not wreck my ears lol.

Will the 4.6" barrel keep standard ammunition subsonic? The only reason I'm considering going compact Tx22 is to allow the use of full power ammo for varmint with a suppressor.

Update on the MP22X:

Running well on the home bru of ATF fluid mixed with WD40 white lithium grease. Still cycling 40gr Federal auto-match without hiccup. Had one failure to feed due to thumb pressure on the slide.
I chronographed these at 1001fps over 20 rounds.

We are coming up on 4000 rounds. I decided it has probably earned itself some kind of holster at this point. I looked around, and didn’t see anything I was impressed enough to buy.

So being the DIY kind of guy I am, my daughter and I decided to print one with her new 3D printer.
We used a Glock 19/17 bucket holster as the base. Then used gorilla-tape shims to take up space until rattle was eliminated.

i used her purple PLA filament as a gen 1. We will plan to basically run this to failure, then print a gen2 out of petG with a resized internal volume.

No, not this one. It indexes off the trigger guard.
But lots of other 3d print files out there for light bearing holsters.

Just FWIW.....I chrono'ed some CCI Mini Mag HPs a few minutes ago. From a 5.5" ruger MKII with a can, they were all 1120' to 1180'. So, all supersonic. Lose another inch of barrel and I'd think they could go either way depending on the extreme spread.

Academy had freedom buckets of little Golden Bullets on sale for $99 not too long ago. I doubled up on that one as almost all my Deuce Deuce's like it.

I've a couple of revolvers and a couple of semi auto 22's.

Mostly range time but I've taken my SP 101 and no longer owned MKIII grouse hunting. New MK IV has taken squirrel.

Have the full Volquartsen accurizing kit for my MK IV but so far have only put in the extractor.

Picked up a 3.5 inch threaded barrel from Volquartsen for the MK IV. Would like to get a suppressor. With the tax change that is good but I would rather not have all the ATF paperwork. Perhaps someday one will only have a 4473 or no paperwork at all.

Mostly use CCI mini mags but usually have an assortment of 22lr on hand.

My old H&R 949'er likes Standard Velocity best.

Shot some Stingers out of my LCP II---action functioned great--great little fireballs out of the barrel.
Haven't had enough range time yet with this one but i was getting baseball sized groups at 10 yards.

Surprised Keltec P17 hasnt come up yet! I want a mark iv 22/45 lite as my suppressed grouse/squirrel gun - but I couldnt justify it just now. So I got a Keltec P17 for $200 and a Jessies Girl AL for it. Talk about an ultralight fun machine - fully loaded with a can it weighs less than the 22/45 lite by a half pound. I havent made it to an outdoor range yet to hear it for real. But the P17 eats everything I have tried, seems pretty accurate... A bit more blowback with the can, but a heavier spring is available. Trying a cheap dot on an adapter today - maybe more mass will balance the higher back pressure from the can? Final solution would be a printed rear cover with optic mount vs the add on plate.

I'm really interested in these magic lube for 22 formulas and brands. I have a 1968 Colt Huntsman (downgraded woodsman I inherited from my father in law - it was his dad's) that just doesnt want to be reliable. Usually 3-5 fail to fire per 10rd mag. It does vary with lube changes. Also some fail to feed/eject. Its just a plinker but did carry for small game last year.. when it goes bang it is super accurate - long barrel helps of course. cant decide if a new firing pin or hammer spring is what is needed or different TLC...

2. How you use it (practice, hunting, general purpose, self defense, etc), and why you chose it.
Target practice, but this is a strong candidate for a designated squirrel pistol
3. Preferred ammo.
Unknown, target below is 50 rounds of CCI standard velocity at 25 yards
4. Reliability and durability concerns. How did you fix these issues?
So far none. Lubed up with Cherry Blamz Rimfire Remedy before today's session, no malfunctions over 50 rounds of CCI standard Velocity and 20 rounds of unknown brass plated stuff, Rem yellow jacket I think.

I'm very tempted to put a 2x EER scope on this thing and terrorize squirrels, what says the collective Rok-mind?

Also, any replacement grip suggestions? I'm not digging these bullseye style grips.

I think I remember seeing that Lok Grips has some designs. They put out good products, have several sets of theirs for a different gun.

yeah. that..... But first, dump it and get a UDX framed model and put the LOK Veloces on it.....

Also, the LAST thing I'd do, is put a scope on it. They work for swirkles just fine with a dot. If you feel you need a scope, bring a rifle.....
