Have an AR in 224 Valyrie with a 1:6.5 twist. Currently shooting 88 grain Hornady match bullet for pdogs. Bought some 75 grain spire point bullets. Wasn't happy with accuracy. Anyone shooting a hunting bullet with this setup under 1" MOA?

Lots of folks here will recommend what you’re already shooting, that 88gr eldm. Folks are shooting elk and moose and getting consistently good kills with eldms and tmk’s in the mid-high 70 gr and larger weights. Theres a few LONG threads with autopsy photos, etc from different bullets, including one dedicated specifically to .224 projectiles. Thats where Id start.

I read do not shoot target bullet in shoulder. I shoot most of my deer in the neck.

Does anyone have any experience with a Valyrie using a hunting bullet in a neck shot?
Match bullets do fine on shoulder shots, they do better than typical hunting bullets on neck shots.

I do have one data point though, 62gr ttsx neck shot impact velocity was something like 2700fps. Pretty much dead centered the vertebra halfway between the head and body. ~ 1 inch hole through the neck with a half inch exit.

I think you’ll like the results of the 88 ELD-M that it’s already shooting well. When I had a Valk, I shot a couple deer with the 90gr Fusion and it worked well. I sold my Valk upper to buy a bolt action 22ARC and have killed one deer and 2 coyotes so far with a 75gr ELD-M with impressive results. I plan to test the 88 ELD-M at some point this year or next.
