223 bolt action recommendations

I am interested in potentially getting a 223 bolt action to use for practicing positional shooting in place of my 300WSM. My 300 WSM is in a XLR chassis (SA Rem 700 clone) and my thought is to drop a 223 bolt action into that so that the rest of the system stays the same for my practice.

What are people’s recommendations for a .223 that is or is based on a rem 700 clone such that I could put it in the XLR? Would like to keep it relatively cheap since that’s the point. Thanks!

Bergara SP. 18” threaded barrel. Can friendly and trigger is excellent or can be replaced with a trigger tech. Chambered in 223 WYlde

That’s a great idea. I don’t have any advice other than the obvious, a Remington in .223 but it makes total sense.
