It’s neither. It’s a whole different bullet. And it works well on deer and antelope at least. Are you talking the partition bullet or the Accubond?

You said trainer, are you wanting recommendations for killing deer? 62gr fusion will work fine.Would you use a vmax on a deer? I have no experience with this particular bullet.
Fusions are hammers. 4 deer all DRT.You said trainer, are you wanting recommendations for killing deer? 62gr fusion will work fine.

https://www.federalpremium.com/rifle/fusion/11-F223FS1.htmlI forgot about those. My wife shot a few whitetails wth them and they worked great too. It was through a 9 twist r700 LTR. Though I'm sure that bullet is fine for 10tw too.

There are two version… the MSR has lower muzzle velocity
Why not reload if you have the tools? Factory 223 with good projectiles is so stupidly expensive. Loading for the 223 is the way. Even with the current prices of components.Picked up a Tikka 223 as a trainer on a whim, but also a smoking deal. Problem is, it has a 1:10 twist. I don’t want to reload, but want some decent ammo. Any recommendations on what to try? Would love to shoot the heaviest bullet possible but not sure if anything in the 60s would stabilize?
