I am getting ready to do the same with another rifle. Here’s a thread to read through.

Anyone have any info on a 22 creedmore
I’m thinking about putting a 22 creedmore barrel on my Ruger precision gen1 that’s in 6mm creedmore now
There are a few threads on here about it. Here is one that has a bunch of info. Your search will yield more results if you spell it "creedmoor"

I’d highly recommend starting with a Tikka in .22-250 with the 8 twist barrel. Have it re-chambered to 22 Creedmoor keeping the factory barrel and then chop to 18-20” and thread for a suppressor.

Throw it in a Rokstok and go buy a bunch of factory Hornady Precision Hunter 80 ELDX ammo and get to shooting! If you reload the 77 TMKs shoot phenomenally and kill well. If you’re a long range high BC guy the 88 ELDM is a little beast, I’ve shot mine to 1,200 yards with consistent hits on 12” plates.

That’s exactly what this gun is, and I have another one just like it. It has 1,200 rounds down the barrel and killed 13 big game animals in 2024. No signs of slowing down yet.

Highly recommend this route! It’s a point and click and watch hits, little killing machine.

This is the stuff that has made me want to build one.

Great velocity from short barrels running high BC bullets. My little 22BR will get most of my 22 cal fun shooting, But, the 22 creed will go hunting for sure.

I will try the 80s and 88s ELDm I have on the shelf.

I wanted to build a light folding stock rifle, but HNT26 are spendy for the stock alone. So, I bought a used Sig Cross. Now to decide between barrels. I found a 22” prefit on the shelf or buy a customized from Preferred Barrel. That is the question.

The tikka is the entire package easy button but if you have a rifle you can throw a new barrel on, that can be pretty economical as well. However, it does start to become a PITA if you want to change barrels all the time and re-zero.

When i shoot out my 6cm it will get a new lease on life as a 22creed. Thinking 18" spiral fluted and it will have a dedicated Dilligent Defense wolfhunter on it.

On the shelf prefit gets you shooting sooner, I have nothing but good to say about the preferred prefits I’ve had for what that’s worth. If cost is similar I’d probably just get the one on the shelf.

I’ve put 100 hand loaded 88s through it and it loves them. Most accurate bullet along with the 77 TMKs, probably slightly more accurate even than the 77s.
Right on. I’ve got a vanilla 22-250 1-8” ready to get cracked open. Had it cut to 19” before I ever fired a round so I’d be happy with 3000fps.

I hate you. This is NOT a good solution to my problem of having too many scopes.
