OH ok - 50 cent words,

So you support your premise with an Argument from Incredulity.

Yes, a guy did talk about a 20 gr Vmax - but I guess you skipped over that

You suggest ? You think too much of yourself
What I think of myself has no bearing on this discussion, and I couldn't care less about what you think of me. My post was just pointing out that your arguments are nonsensical. But this is the internet, and there are no regulations precluding that behavior. There is also no point in me trying to inform you of something you are incapable of comprehending.

I use what works too - I use my 6CM on what I think is right, I also use my 470NE on what I think is right.

You need to quite assuming and being such a fanboy/lemming

@Erik1972 asked for opinion and feedback. I guess in your mind the only one that matters is yours annd the other lemmings - how democratic of you
You make little to no sense. I’m not assuming anything.

I’m only a fanboy of trying things for myself and reporting on those things for more folks to see. Lemming is a weird take, if you followed what I actually post (results not opinions) you’d see that.

Others would rather argue about it on the internet with little to no experience or willingness to try.

Or they follow these threads around with their tongue sticking out, drooling, and take their time to post general “opposing comments” or memes that don’t add anything to the discussion, but like to “disagree” passive aggressively using that format. It seems rather desperate and sad.

I appreciate that you regularly come in with your opinion, but a lot of the comments you make aren’t backed by any results or evidence. I’d work on that.

Article…

Are you being purposefully ignorant regarding the Vmax post?

He used that as an example of being “legal” because of its diameter despite it being a terrible choice on elk. He was trying to show you a real world example of how stupid the “minimum” diameter “laws” are.

Back to your original question - some states do mandate....mine does not. Personally, I have seen many a hunter drop Antelope and deer with bullets under 100 grains. Works great for them. IME the 115 grain out of my 6CM is bad medicine on both species.

I prefer larger bullets on larger game so me personally, I would not hunt or shoot anything that weighed more than 350 lbs with something that small...but to each their own

The reality is that bullet construction and velocity are the determining factors for how well firearms kill. But you cannot use those as a basis for regulation. So they fall back on meaningless variables like bullet diameter and energy because they can be easily measured in the field by law enforcement.
How did you measure energy in the field? Did you take people's firearm, shoot it through a chronograph, then take their ammo and pull a bullet and weigh it?
I'd argue energy is a completely impossible metric to have a regulation around. It's a more difficult regulation then velocity.

Yes - I was - good guess

And I think it is Stupid to shoot an animal that weighs 700 lbs with an 80 grain bullet - but then you and I will never agree on that which is fine with me

I think it’s because one of us has experience doing it in real life and one of us doesn’t.

I shared your sentiment for years and hundreds of kills because it was engrained in my head by other hunters and all the magazines. Being a lemming and fanboy to those folks, with the evidence we have for the exact opposite, is the only thing here that is “stupid”.

It is comical what most of the folks here consider evidence. If we want to use personal experience, great. Yours is yours and mine is mine. Ill put mine up against yours or anyone else's.

Won't change my beliefs - glad you are sticking to yours.

Cheers

So you have detailed autopsy photos of all your kills from this year? With bullet information, impact velocities, hit location, distance travelled after hit, and shooting position for each kill? How many dead animals?

That’s what I gathered this year for my own and others evidence.

I’m not trying to change your beliefs in the slightest. I’m calling you out for generalized nonsense posts and comments like “animal weight” and “bullet diameter” with zero evidence to back any of it up.

And yet here you are again… and again and again… You can’t seem get enough of these threads as you post multiple comments in every single one.
Got me... Interesting title of the thread, that yet again gets spun into small caliber vs. big caliber can kill. Look at the pictures. blah blah blah blah. It's really hard not to be in these topics, as almost every one seems to turn into this.

Here you are yet again, arguing with Article 4. Did you not learn from the other 3 threads Article 4 has engaged in recently?

It is a bit like like arguing with my 7 year old you’re right haha.

I’ll bet you that “small versus big caliber” threads make up less than 3% of total threads posted in the last 7 days.

You % may be right, but doubt that said topic didn't at some point venture into the debate...

By all means, keep on trying to convince guys of your stance. You may convert them with enough effort. Reminds me of the Mormons going door to door. No matter how many times you tell them you are not interested, they come back again next month.
