Going to be slinging 80 grain ELDXs…. What would be a good starting load? Thinking around 35-36 grains and probably working up to around 39-40????

Fed 210s in Hornady brass….

Appears to be a smart start. Did not know about the 80 ELD-X till I saw this post.

For my first charge test, notes for 75 ELD-M show that I started at 41.5 grains of H4350 and went up to 43.5 with no pressure signs @ 3,546 fps. Settled at 42.5 and 3,454 fps. Had my load dialed-in after my first 15 rounds. Never bothered to test seating, so stayed @ .030" off.

Specs are 22" Benchmark w/1:8" rot, Alpha SRP brass, CCI 450 srp.

Pic from 2022 is my second charge test (2 shots each charge) moved out to 300 yards. All 10 loads fit within .73" POI @ 300 with 5 different charges. Can shoot 77 LRX even faster @ .050" off. Encouragement is H4350 has worked exceptionally well in any Creedmoor chambering I've been familiar with.

I’m at 39.5 grains of H4350 with 88 ELDm with Alpha LRP brass and fed 210s. I’d say your starting point is spot on and you’ll likely have some wiggle room up in the 39-40 range.

Just inherited two Ruger 10/22s. Wondering if I can turn one of them into a 22 CM

I just went though this with a 22
CM, found pressure at 41 gr H4350 in my barrel, started at 35 gr. Afterwards, I switched to H4831SC. My rifle liked better
