Just checking to see if anyone is reloading the 80 gr ELD-X for 22 Creedmoor on here? I've shot a few boxes of the factory ammo, and like the bullet / terminal performance I've been seeing. But the factory ammo has down 60-70 fps ES every time I've shot it... Plus the MVs are closer to 3100, than the 3300 on the box. Appreciate any insight!

Lots and lots of info on the 22 creedmoor thread. Factory eldx for 22c has not been good for most. Even reloaders have had some issues. It does seem to kill fantastic

They work great for me. Do a search for 22 Creedmoor.

I have two guns in 22 creedmoor. One is a 20 inch barrel the other a 22. My velocity is even worse. 20 inch is 2850 22inch is 3000 with factory Hornady ELD-x 80 grain. Both are Ruger Gen 2 actions one has a Odin works 22ich barrel. I don't know why mine are so slow. My chronograph works well and shows box velocity on some other calibers like 243 30-06 7mm 6.5 CM

Well just got done shooting one box of the 80GR Eld X and the velocity average was about 3240 FPS from my 24" barrel. So not to bad from their 3275FPS. So this leads me to believe their data is based on a longer barrel so if yours is shorter then you get what you get. I recommend reloading to get the maximum speed out of your setup.

They kill fantastic. They can be picky on getting them to shoot.

I’ve shot 8 or more different lots of factory precision hunter and won’t buy it anymore.
