.22 Creed / 88 ELD-M load data

I shot my first batch of reloads for my 17" 22 CM yesterday, a bit disappointed in the speeds with the 85.5 LRHT and 88 ELDM. I didn't have any signs of pressure with any of my loads, so maybe I can slowly keep going up in powder charge?

Any recommendations besides H1000 for the 85.5 LRHT and 88 ELDM? I have some N560 on hand I was thinking of trying, possibly RL-23?

Factory Hornady Match 80 ELDM
2953 FPS

80 ELDM (2.62" COAL)
39 gr H4350 - 3035 fps

85.5 LRHT (2.64" COAL)
41 gr H1000 - 2684 fps
41.5 gr H1000 - 2742 fps
42 gr H1000 - 2755 fps

88 ELDM (2.64" COAL)
41 gr H1000 - 2689 fps
42 gr H1000 - 2751 fps

N560 has been great with the 88’s for me. 2950 in an 18” tube. RL23 was super accurate as well but i didn’t push it up to speed.

For me:

85.5 Berger, 40.5g of Staball 6.5, COAL 2.7", MV 3,046
88 ELDM, 38.4g of H4350, COAL 2.691, MV 2,976

This is from a 16.5" PVA barrel. Both shoot great.

Once your barrel speeds up, work up slightly higher with h1000. My 18” pushes 90smks at 3085fps with 43gr h1000 in Hornady brass with the shorter 80 freebore.

LRP brass, I edited my post. I seen Peterson brass suggested possibly using a magnum primer with the more magnum type powders in some load development they did for the 22 creed.

Are you guys running magnum or standard large rifle primers for the H1000?

Standard LRP.

Standard LRP works fine to ignite H1000 (and N565) in the creed case and 6.5 PRC size case.
