Anyone having issues with tips breaking off 88eld factory ammo in an ar platform? I ran 500 rounds of the 70gr cx factory ammo with no issues. Ran out of it and switched to the 88s and over 100 rounds through it and the tips break off every time and cause failures. Tips somehow break off and land right behind the case head almost every time not allowing the bolt to close all the way. And when they don’t go behind the case they end up in the trigger assembly causing light strikes or not allowing the hammer to release. I did notice the tips on the 88s seem much more brittle and break off way easier with pliers. The tip in the 70gr cx was much more durable and would flex/bend and much harder to break off with pliers?

Receiver set is a 2a armament Palouse lite. Same result with asc, duramags, and ar stoner. The only real info I can find that might resolve this is going to a Brenton upper and mags or getting a different extension with different feed ramps.
Anyone else dealing with this? If not what receivers and mags are you having success with?
I experienced that with the 88 gr. factory load but the plastic tip would end up in front of the shoulder not letting the bolt fully close and making a dent in the case. In my reloads I shortened OAL a bit and have not had a problem since other than my lot of seconds from Midway is very fragile. Didn't exit on a coyote. Slight quartering away shot. Killed him dead though. Something you might try is shortening the feed lips on a magazine a bit so it will release the cartridge sooner. .05 to .150 should find a sweet spot.
