2026 Weight Loss Thread

For me the first half of 2026 is all about weight loss. Too many excuses to list but in the end I weighed more this year than any point in my life. Any life/fitness/hunting goal will come 2nd to loosing the weight first.

I wanted to start a thread just to post updates and to hold other accountable for those going through similar large weight loss journeys into 2026.

I have a big number to hit and after years of trying and not being locked - enough is enough. First part of December I was hovering in the 270s (5’11) - my goal is to be at 195, so a 70-75 pound loss.

Knowing I couldn’t afford to go thru the holidays and gain even more weight, I decided to start my weight loss journey a few weeks early. Reached out to a very helpful fellow Rokslider who shared a bunch of tips and steps that he used in a massive weight loss journey and said - Eff it - let’s get going, all in on what ever it takes (supplements, diet, exercise, strength training)

Day 1 weigh in - 12/20/25 - 273 pounds
Today - 12/26 - 264.

My plan is try to post a once a week update on here…
The hardest part about going to the gym is just getting in your car and driving there…

Been following this for a while. Down about 8 lbs. need to drop at least 12 more and then see how I feel and decide if I keep going or change my goals
 
Started working on mine this past month and got a DEXA scan with results of 24% body fat and 194 lbs on April 10th. Down to 188 today on April 28th. Doing my next scan scheduled July 17th with a target of 170-175lbs and 15-18% body fat so I'm hoping I can sustain it. I miss ice cream...

Low fat greek yogurt mixed with vanilla protein powder. It aint' perfect but it's close.

Get a ninja creami. Look up some of the recipes using fairlife nurri or core power as the base. You end up with high protein frozen treats that you can customize based on your daily goals.
