The 2026 Rules Change

Targets will be shot from “left-to-right” “right-to-left”, “near-to-far”, or “far-to-near” and must be clearly stated in the staging area.

Factory Division is described as completely original in the factory configuration and includes any SKU from the following list, as long it is unmodified in any way and 13 lbs. or under

An allowance of no more than 10 oz will be deemed accepted for the Factory division for the use of an unmodified suppressor in the original manufactures production configuration. All suppressors must be NFA registered. Any person using a suppressor must show proof of NFA registration upon request.
An allowance of no more than 10 oz will be deemed accepted for the Open Light division for the use of an unmodified suppressor in the original manufactures production configuration. All suppressors must be NFA registered. Any person using a suppressor must show proof of NFA registration upon request.

Any Young Gun who takes a TOP 10 overall match finish at a 2 day match will automatically be bumped into a Factory / Open division for the remainder of the season. They may however, compete in the Young Gun classification at the Grand Slam provided they receive an invite.

Senior Classification is for a hunter who is over the age of 55. Seniors must abide by Factory, Open Light, or Open Heavy division rules and season scoring will be based on the rifle division. If opting for the Senior Classification, a division must also be declared. A trophy for the winner of a Senior’s class is not required by the Match Director. The intent of this classification is to provide an additional opportunity to a Grand Slam entry.
To qualify for the Grand Slam Championship, the hunter must be a NRL HUNTER member. Hunters may compete in as many competitions as they like. The sum of the hunters top 2 match scores in the same division will count toward the series point’s race and Championship qualification. Series points will be tallied by the NRL HUNTER Series and displayed on the NRL HUNTER website. Rankings will be determined by the best score.

The 2026 NRL HUNTER Grand Slam Championship, will be hosted by Justin Garay in New Mexico.
5 spots will be allocated to the top of Seniors classification.

10 spots will be allocated to the top of NRL HUNTER ONE series.

Going the wrong way honestly. Letting people shoot heavier and heavier guns doesn’t make sense.

Up to 13 lb 10 oz in factory division is too much.

I agree with this. I would have liked to see less weight. I agree with the 16lb limit for open heavy. I use my 300 norma for truck / SXS hunting that just under 16 lbs, which is the Idaho limit.

I am actually excited about the new suppressor rules.

I will never provide NFA paperwork to anybody unless there's a legal precedent for it. NRL has always seemed sort of horrible, this is just one more reason to not do it.
