You lived my dream and it sounds like a great hunt after spotting the bear. Congratulations!Snow machines and snow shoes. Lots of riding and glassing. Did about 1,000’ elevation gain on snow shoes to get above himView attachment 1054987

Bullet preformed great. Shot was 200yds- bear dropped 1st shot… did not recover bullet for weight, but internals were soupy. Sent a few extras, so tough to tell the damage of the single.Thats fantastic, tell us how that bullet did!

Jake done us good! Fantastic Alaska hunt for Griz and the black bear walked in front of my bullet!
Jake, your one caliber one bullet would be….?Big brown bears are easier to kill than small ones. Sounds weird but it’s been true for my experience. For some reason smaller (8’ and under) bears tend to go crazy when shot. Bigger bears seem to go into slow motion…confused and trying to figure it out. But no bear ever has yelled or complained about muzzle velocity or energy, ballistic charts, bullet weights. Only thing is we have shot a few with Berger bullets and I swore I heard them laugh at loud…
