You applied every yr for 47 yrs and never drew until now? That is some horrific luck.

Yes, I drew a tag in 1978, waited until mid November to hunt him and killed a great, long haired billy. Back then I didn't think that I had the wall space for a full body mount, so I had my taxidermist do a half mount. I've kicked myself ever since wanting a full body mount.

Ironically, I now have full body mounts of an Aoudad and a Himalayan Tahr on walls that I could have put a full mount Goat on back then.

Back then FWP didn't have the 7 year wait if you killed a goat (or sheep or moose), so yes, I've applied for another goat tag for 47 years without drawing another goat tag.
