2026 Goals

Clean the garage. I like to keep it humble…

Get my FFL and begin chambering barrels, threading muzzles, and other rifle smithing on the side.

Live another year. Make sure my family is happy and pray they stay healthy.

Hunting wise:
Draw a mule deer tag in my own state. 25 years not drawing is enough I think.

Health wise:
Get in better shape
Kick the type 2 diabetes
Kick the cholesterol meds

Begin a healthier lifestyle/eat better.
Be a better husband.
Concentrate on retirement planning.

Use the off season to strengthen stabilizing muscles and hopefully have less knee problems next year.

Spend more time scouting for sheep than I have previous years.

I'm going to straighten up my barn and get my boat fixed up.

Primarily getting weight off.

Work-wise, publishing a book this march, and hope to add at least six more ebooks and three more audiobooks to the side-gig in 2026.

Taking a trip to Oklahoma to visit the reservation to research family.

Help keep my kid straight in school.

I need to work on my patience. I also need to work on letting little things go. I am very detail oriented and critical which makes me focus and dwell. Hunting behind my bird dogs im always critiquing them. Poor guys.

Its not a big deal but I notice it generally effects my mood and thats no fun. So I need to chill in 2026 and have more fun.

I should also stretch more.
