There used to be a thread titled "nudey magazine day" about the CPW brochure showing up in our mailbox. It had some epic Billy Madison memes. It appears it has been removed from Rokslide. This is really sad news.......

Funny how the Big game brochure keeps getting fatter, while the Goat and Sheep brochure getting skinnier. Both arrived today in the mail. Or maybe yesterday it’s been a few days since I checked.

It's that time of year. The Colorado big game catalog should be arriving in mailboxes soon. So every day when I get home from work I run out and check. I've known for months already what I'll be applying for (mostly preference points), but there's something magical about having that brochure in my hands.

It's that time of year. The Colorado big game catalog should be arriving in mailboxes soon. So every day when I get home from work I run out and check. I've known for months already what I'll be applying for (mostly preference points), but there's something magical about having that brochure in my hands.

Man, I wish when they made a new hunt code, they'd tell us how many tags there were.

As always, there are hunt codes in the new section that I'd love to do, but if there's 10 tags it isn't worth chasing the tag, if there's 1000 it isn't worth fighting with the rest of the world once you get the tag.

Historically, new hunt codes come with high quotas. They will gauge interest and balance that with target herd numbers. If you’re thinking about that tag I think your are, you’d very likely draw it this year with 0 points.
