2025 Whitetail Meatpole

First time my wife sat with me this pretty boy showed up right before last light. Only made it 20 yards but i am working with the pup on his tracking skills. This is his second find.

This was the first. Our neighbor hunts on our farm as well and took her with a bow early season. Shot was almost too vertical so she ran a long ways and circled back. Only took the pup 20 minutes to find her about 300 yards from where we lost blood in the thicket

Early season with a bow.
My first bow hunting in 10 years.
Biggest body deer I have seen in the woods.

My 2025 WT buck. Got a shot off just in time as he spooked in the dark timber and hit a little far back, then a follow up shot to the neck.

Taken evening of October 25th on Illinois public over a water hole by rope scrape & several big rubs. Passed several open shots due to very short tines, but very wide and 3/8” heavier bases than my Booner. First ever xgun harvest. Was healing from defibrillator surgery 9/26.

That is an awesome pack-out setup! Where did that tree hanger strap come from? DIY? Or did you buy the stuff as a kit?

It’s an HYS Strap from Tethrd. I bought it for hanging my bow/rifle or whatever from the tree while hunting and thought it would do great to make an instant meat tree out of any tree, and indeed it does.
