Shot the doe opening morning of my November/December extra doe tag and the following weekend shot this little Buck. North Idaho

Hunting my father in laws farm, I missed a nice buck opening morning of rifle season in WV (buck fever got me) but got this doe about an hour later.

Definitely not the biggest but needed a little redemption and got some meat in the freezer.

Tagged out in VA on a buck I’ve been chasing for the last four falls. I believe he’s 7.5 years old. One of my best bucks to date, and without a doubt the prettiest. He was actually on a slight decline, last year he probably had 10-15 more inches of bone on his head.

Tikka 6.5 creed w/ the 140 grain accubounds did the job perfectly.

Shot a couple of does to end the season in Wyoming. First up was a doe at 100 yards and my 300 BLK shooting the 194 Lehigh. Worked great, she was down in seconds.

After dragging her to the truck, I saw another group of does. I had my 22 Creed with me as well so I lined up for the shot. 405 yards with a 77 TMK. She went maybe 5 yards and piled up.

Finally doubled up side by side with the girlfriend on our 5th season together. She got a hammer of a doe and I followed up on a yearling that hung around a bit too long after her shot.

Last night as I was walking to my tree stand, I spotted this buck bedded 700 yards away in an area where he could overlook the whole property. He was just 100 yards from my tree stand so I had to make a huge loop around him and eventually snuck up into my stand undetected. Just before dark he came right into me and offered a 20 yard shot. I originally thought that I botched the shot so with very little sleep last night me and a buddy went looking for him this morning and ended up finding him in about 10 minutes.

Not an epic hunt but still a fun day. Temps started -7 and got up to about 11. Second whitetail for the year (last day of season also) hunting some fields my buddies in-laws own. Was driving out to glass an area and noticed this buck bedded against a fence along a windbreak. I didn't stop and kept driving out of sight about another 400yds, then turned around and moved in with the Dodge blind. When I came around the corner he started to stand. By the time I put the truck in park, stepped out, racked a round and leaned over the hood he'd jumped the fence and went about 30yds further into some really tall grass. He stopped and looked over, grass covering the bottom 2/3 of his body. He was around 100yds, put the crosshairs estimated in the lower 1/3. He went 50yds, wobbled and tipped over. I'll take it for a last day buck.PXL_20251130_184056734.jpgPXL_20251130_191448289~2.jpg
