3 hours into the first hunt of the season on a place I just scouted this year. Also my first kill from a saddle. Was a clean heart shot. Got to put my Ark and maniml set up to use for packing our meat for the first time. Other than getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, it was a good first hunt for the year.

Arrowed her last night. Diagonal pass through, exited near her left rear hind. 13-18yards away roughly. She fell within eye sight of the stand in what seemed like 30 seconds. Right before I spotted her I texted my wife saying 1hr left and haven’t seen a thing lol

Not my deer but my 7yo was bound and determined to shoot a deer this fall. We were out of town most of the weekend during our youth weekend. Snuck in a late hunt Sunday and im glad we did. His first ever hunt as the shooter and he takes a doe and then 30 minutes later this buck steps out. Two great shots and he has a first hunt of a lifetime. Proud Dad moment for sure.

Edit: 73 elds may be overkill for whitetails...

First deer of the season. 12 yard hard quartering away shot. South GA

1st day in PA today. Told the boy…it’s too hot, I’m not hunting, but would set him up. Get a text at 6:45 asking if he can shoot a rabbit with his Judo. Get a text a few minutes later with picture of the kill from his tree. Then 10 minutes later he calls and tells me he shot his biggest buck….lol. Kid is having a season for a lifetime. Shot a beauty 6x6 Elk 1st morning of our hunt on Sept 8th, then whacks 1st day today….hell of a public land buck for our area. Did a quick measure and came up with 125.5”…
