There is a reason for that. Jk. Nice looking dog there. My dad had setters as a kid. We’ve been gsp since I was 11 and I am 35 now.

Local upland bird hunting won’t start until Thanksgiving. But we’ve got the dove opener and a trip out west scheduled to hold us over until then.

Some. To what degree depends on what you heard.

From what I have heard is other dogs or people. However it always seems to be one of the two.

It all depends on the dog too. Certain lineages are sharper than others. I think the sharpness issue is largely diminished, it is still there to some degree.

My male is very protective of my wife. God help the souls who would try to harm her with him nearby. But, he’s great with other dogs. My female is a lover no matter who is around.

The one on the left is a male DD (9 months old) and the one on the right is a female GWP, 8 years old.

Neither of them are aggressive towards humans, we have 3 small children who give them lots of opportunity. The GWP doesn’t put up with crap from other dogs. She has never started a fight but she will not back down from one. She will also break up other fights. The DD is a goofball so far. But he is bold and I think he will be a lot like the GWP later on.

I also own a 100lb Chesapeake. I guess you could say it’s the trifecta of the “aggressive” hunting breeds. He’s a gentle giant and friendly toward most everyone. Although you would be an idiot to try to break into our house, I’m convinced of that.

I do hold pretty well to the notion that most dogs will do fine as long as they are socialized properly and kept in proper order.

I've been excited since the last season closed. Really looking forward to it.

Been a super dry summer here and I predict a wet fall, but we'll see.

Not sure what out of state tag I’ll buy this year. Got a 4.75 year old UT prize 1 griff that’s ready for lots. Also picked up a second griff, born 4/2. She’s coming along nicely. Will stay where I stop while I walk a measured 106 yds away and then call her, place boards going well, points are solid and of good duration.
I’m excited to take days off work.

Definitely ready for more of this. Last year was our cockers first fall. The birds below the house have been tormenting him. Time for a little revenge soon

First season with my 14 month old small munsterlander and we're making a trip to Wyoming for 8 days, split between Torrington and southwest of Casper. We're rookies to Wyoming bird hunting, but OnX and the state bird biologist are helping!

The OFFul season ends in 6h35m and the girls and I are hopping in the truck in 10h35m to continue our war against the ptarmybastages.

The last three months have been downright torturous not being able to kill wild birds. I don't know how you poor sobs in the L48 survive with such meager, short seasons.

Our Draht was well socialized at an early age. Excellent with humans and kids. She was amazing with our toddlers. However, she was very protective of our family, to the point where she was very aggressive to other dogs. I’ve also seen plenty of drahts that socialized very well with other people and dogs. I’ve also heard of a few PP who were sharp.

Drove from ne sodak to north central this evening after training today and the pheasants on the road were more than I have seen in 10 years going to be a good year for them. Lots of grouse out west.

More interested in the geese feeding as that starts next weekend but I will be gone running a test in sure I will get plenty of pictures from my buddies.

I didn’t make it to SD last year. Wasn’t it an exceptional year? Hopefully will be a banner year.
