2025 opening day Montana speedgoat. 379 yards. Found this goat during archery last year and he was never in a playable spot. Found him again this year before rifle opener in the same exact spot. Tons of pressure on public land but with the help and advice of my buddy we stuck it out (persistence applied logically yields results). Had him at 350 right after legal light and I was squeezing the trigger off and another public land hunter bumped him out of the zip code temporarily. We had several gnarly rainstorms we sat through, but once all the other hunters went home we were able to glass him back up in the evening and make a play. We belly crawled into this bedded buck with his does. He stood up, I touched it off and that was all she wrote! Nothing gets me fired up like pronghorn do.

WY 2025, first pronghorn for me. 400 yard shot connected after missing a shot earlier, didn’t dial correctly. I credit the suppressor for allowing us another opportunity. They moved to the other side of a hill after my miss and went about their lives. We were able to reposition ourselves on top of the hill. Many other failed stalks happened before this, they were spooky.

Montana, yesterday. Found then from an adjacent property and since corner crossing is still unlawful there, had to circle around and hike in about 800 yards to get a ~350yd shot.

Wife’s MT opener goat. Beautiful 550 yard shot. Green score is 75 2/8” with a 15 3/8” length. Super cool buck!

What chassis is that?

XLR Element 4.0. The rifle was built by Viking Armament so it's slightly different but XLR manufactures it.
