2025 Black Friday Deals

Looking at BF deals for a Tikka Stock and have it narrowed down to
AG composites fiberglass @ 38oz $ 405
Pure Precision at 1.5# $499
Stockys Carbon V2 @ 28oz and $420

Kinda leaning towards the AG and I have one on a waypoint 2020 and it seems like it is very good quality.
Pure Precision is a close second. It is a $800 stock and the lightest option. And appears to have a textured grip that I like.
Stockys I am hesitant some reviews of the v1 is it has a hollow sound. Not sure if the v2 is similar.

Any suggestions out there on these stocks? Anyone compare the AG and pure Precision before?
stockys of those but the trigger reach is long its not perfect. honestly just spend a little more and buy a rokstock if you're not in a rush. get the spacers too to dial in the negative comb.even if for some reason you do not like you'll likely get your money back on here. its design rly helps you stayon target. the pure precision toe angle and Monte Carlo design induces more muzzle flip its light but not what you want in a stock design.

AG alpine hunter is excellent. Nice fit and finish. The fore end is square, rock solid off of bags.

Stockys are really nice too. I have a VG2 on a gun and it’s an easy stock to shoot. I have shorter fingers and find the tigger reach to be far, however in practice it’s a non issue.

As much as I love my rokstok, I prefer the AG alpine hunter.

Appreciate the feedback. Interesting that you prefer the AG to the Rokstok. I shot the wood Rokstok for a few days and while it was good, I didn’t notice much difference from my factory tikka rifle stock. Could’ve been that it was on a 223 with little recoil to begin with

I’ve had stockys VG2 and it was good but again didn’t notice much of an improvement. Also felt fairly hollow

Do you mind sharing more about why you prefer the AG over the Rokstok?

FYI, Bushnell has 25% off site wide and can be stacked with new customer (sign up for email) 15% off. Can get MPED for ~$575. Allegedly GovX discount stacks with this also, but I can't confirm.

Also, Paypal is offering 20% off any purchase if you "pay in 4" payments, anywhere that takes paypal. Go to your PP account and then to rewards. I used it for a Refurb Razor at AA Optics and it worked fine.

Do you just select pay in 4 while paying? Trying to get this deal but I don’t want the item without the 20% off

Yes. Make sure you set up the offer in Paypal first ("add to account") or whatever. Then checkout via the paypal portal.... select "pay in 4". I got a confirmation email from paypal that it worked!

Thanks, I was trying to use it at swfa but they don’t offer PayPal unfortunately it seems

The fore end is square and rests on bags in a very stable manner. I also like having some downward toe in the but end of the stock, this allows for rear bag manipulation to adjust elevation. The AG is also a very solid stock. You mentioned the vg2 felt hollow, I’ve had a similar experience (it is the lightest).

In my rokstock I’m shooting a Kelblys action. I find my thumb gets naturally placed behind the bolt shroud and will get jammed during recoil, not a dealbreaker but an additional thing to be conscious of before breaking a shot. I also find the shape of the fore end to be a little floppy on bags and a bit harder to get stable. I find myself wrestling with the rokstock more than the others. Also, with the raise in the comb the stock is sensitive to scope placement as sliding your head back and forward will raise and lower your head.

Probably the most annoying thing about the Rokstock is the raise in the comb doesn’t allow bore sighting. The raise in the comb is why the stock is great, but an annoying side effect especially when your sighting in at a 100y range. In practice, it took me 2-3 shots to get on paper as opposed to being on paper the first shot.

All the stocks are great though. They are easy to keep on the target, assuming scope mag is reasonable and you’re set up for a good natural point of aim. I personally like heavier rifles so weight is not a concern for me.

With the rokstock you get free flush sling cups and custom paint of your choice which makes it pretty good value imo.

With the paypal 20% pay later rewards and the stocky’s blem sale you can get a howa mini or tikka sporter for 160$
