I have nothing against Silencer Central (they are cutting threads on two more of my rifles right now), but that .22 suppressor is the short version. It’s not the one they make that is really good. A lot of people don’t like it at all.

There are several suppressors that are better hunting cans than the Backcountry.

MDT website worked just fine yesterday afternoon but probably with less availability. Mag availability seemed good still. Took all the resistance I had to not get an ACC gen 2 for a tikka at $500.

+1 on MDT working fine, at least in getting some magazines. With the various Black Friday sales, between MDTs mag discounts, MBX, Henning, and Staccato, I saved almost $400 on magazines and parts yesterday. This, clearly, is a sign of sickness...coming of age during the Clinton-era magazine bans, unable to get them, and hording them when I could the way a Depression-era survivor horded food and silver...

The SC CEO stated that lobbying language from SC was during the Biden administration when they were trying to support directing NFA money to states (vs general treasury) in support of suppressors and conservation while lobbying for HPA. He said the same thing about trying to direct these funds to

Listening to him on both of these podcasts, he seems pretty clear he's figthing for suppressor/2A rights. Not affiliated with SC or anything else, just sharing info as seems like SC is quite pro suppressors/2A based on this. Welcome to learn more if someone has different/better info.

You'll spend 2x on lock boxes than you did the camera. Why bother?

These cameras are the same reason I buy harbor freight tools. If it breaks and I have to buy it again, I still saved money vs. Higher end stuff.

Understood, but if I don’t lock box them I can guarantee they won’t last in public hunt areas. I’m not worried about the cost, (im still way ahead of the game by using much more economical cameras versus high end cameras) I’m worried about the 8-10 hour round trip drive to review my photos only to find the cameras or cards gone.
Your point is valid, and understood it it’s the data I’m trying to protect, not necessarily the camera
 
Looking at BF deals for a Tikka Stock and have it narrowed down to
AG composites fiberglass @ 38oz $ 405
Pure Precision at 1.5# $499
Stockys Carbon V2 @ 28oz and $420

Kinda leaning towards the AG and I have one on a waypoint 2020 and it seems like it is very good quality.
Pure Precision is a close second. It is a $800 stock and the lightest option. And appears to have a textured grip that I like.
Stockys I am hesitant some reviews of the v1 is it has a hollow sound. Not sure if the v2 is similar.

Any suggestions out there on these stocks? Anyone compare the AG and pure Precision before?
