Wow late season grouse!

Black dogs are hard to get good pictures. Lots of late season geese around now.

Our grandfather passed away this year. His last time out hunting was with us and my then 5year old GWP. Today we went back out to the same game farm using all his old shotguns and had a great time. My 10 year old GWP did great and my brothers 1 year old setter looks to be a great bird dog as well with some super stylish points. It was a special day today

Great dog work today. Pointed a lot of pheasants. They either sat and you have to nearly step on them or they flushed when you get about 60 yards from the dog. Fun day. Perfect weather. 30 degrees, partly cloudy and no wind.

Last morning and I finally pulled my head out and rewarded my pup for all his hard work.

She's had a great season and one more hunt to go in a few weeks. Many dozens of pheasants, some sharpies, and a few ducks too.

Great dog work today. Typical January pheasants. Lots of wild flushes. Ended with a two man limit.

Went out for a quick walk on the final day here in ND. Wound up with a hun and the only two roosters that held close enough to shoot.
