Pros and cons for the RFB. There is a clarity issue, so if you glass a lot with binos, there will be a slightly worse image and clarity. Not saying its a huge difference but you can tell there's a difference. If you're just in a blind or tower blind just over looking a field and just looking every now and then, then the RFB are for you. Pending where you look and if you have some the better sights for miltary/first responders you can find really good deals on either. I have been wanting RFB for 5-6 months now but can't really decide. But now I have given in and decided to get binoculars and a rangefinder to upgrade from what I have been using over 15 years of hunting. I have found several models of rangefinders that have custom ballistic capabilities for 500-800 bucks including Vortex, Leica, etc. Binos the same thing. I have found the ViperHD 10x42 for 300-400. I have also seen the Razor model binoculars for around 700. So yeah I figured I can get 2 upgrades for about the same price as a RFB or cheaper. It would be nice to only have 1 equipment for both things. Really I started to think what if I start stalking, what if I have a bow? Is using these RFB going to be effective with one hand in close quarters? I don't know. Really comes down how you're going to use it also depends how rich you are lol. This is my opinion.
