Yes, that’s the point. For the same dB reduction? Proper reflexed cans are shorter, better balance the rifle (less muzzle heavy), and sound better (tone).

Because a 2” can shows up obnoxiously (to most people) in your FOV through the scope. Super fat cans have their place, but not for the vast majority of hunters or hunting rifles.
I was just contemplating either a Mack Bro’s Zenith or AB Raptor but if UM is coming out with a reflex suppressor I guess I can wait. Any rough ETA?

For the over the barrel type suppressors, do you have to match the suppressor to a specific barrel contour, or will can they be installed on any barrel with the correct thread like most US models?

Usually they have an isolator tube that fits over the barrel with a rear bushing fit to the barrel. At least in NZ isolator tubes vary in size and fit any barrel that is smaller in diamter in the reflex section.

I just learned about the below, aem5k

Essentially an aem3 with aem5 taper spacing (mk12)

My brain child as of late is a pri mk12 mod h wearing one of these and a 6x super chicken..

AE cans are awesome. I've had an AE30 for many years and I have been very happy with it. I was friends with the man who originally machined the prototypes for Phil Seberger of OPS Inc (before Ron Allen got involved). Was pretty cool to look at box after box of prototypes and hear all his old stories about how they designed and tested him. Wish he was still here so I could hear those stories again.

The AEM5k is a good can. It’s got more of a “crack” than the AEM5/Ops 12th model- as one would expect.

Comparing a pri mk12 mod 0 w aem5, to a mk12 mod h w aem5k, how much of the "mod 0 greater than the sum of its parts" praise would be compromised just to shorten the setup a few inches?

Anyone see or know anything about SilentAF suppressors? I’ve been seeing adds for them but not a whole lot on their website.

Man it would take a lot for me to buy a suppressor from a company with that name. Not just because I think it's dumb, but because I can't help but think it speaks to the long term (or not) mindset of the people that run it.

Do you plan to be around in 10 years when the "xxxxx-AF" fad is done and everyone thinks it's dumb? If no, then I'm not interested.

If yes, what does that say about your planning and critical thinking skills? Maybe a cute "of the times" model name would be different (Q's stuff for example) but naming your whole company around something so trendy just seems to exhibit poor judgment.
