I don't see them on cams either.

Got em all last year, maybe.

Or perhaps I'll catch a few when the pack comes by or breeding season starts in a few weeks.

No marten today, refreshed some, and found another moose shed.

I checked my cam.

Something is off about this area.

The coon and opossum aren't hitting the dogproofs 10' away.

Not sure why I missed the fox last night.

Might need to overhaul that corner with some new scents and spots.

This is our first year with cell cams. Might be TMI...

Struck out agian on the Marten line.
Second picture tells you what kind of weather we got at the house, and the mountian isn't that far off. With very little snow, and almost no cold, I j don't think they're as desperate to eat.

My buddy and I trapped for coon like crazy on my place in MO when I lived there. Every time we walked up on one with a grinner in the trap, one of us would blurt out "Ahh crap".

BTW, don't EVER try to eat one.

We did once.

Back when my wife and I first met I was on a wild game kick and not eating any store-bought meat.

We prepared it in a crock pot with apples and it was alright. It's better than any squirrel or rabbit I've ever had.

I think we put apples in it because we followed one of those crappy old wild game recipes that was probably written by someone that has never had it.

The ones here have major stomach parasites from an invasive and I think they all eventually die from it but not before reproducing. Kind of like eating Amberjack or bear.

It was a cage trap for bobcats.
