I drew a West General tag in the regular draw with 5 points. This will my first hunt in the Cowboy State, thankful.

Solely based on what folks are posting on this thread, it seems possible that there may not have been as much point creep this year as in previous recent years.

I didn't get my results until 4:50 AM...

What happened?

Maybe somebody else remembers the exact numbers, but in a haste to do the draw and get the results out somehow they issued almost triple the type 1 licenses in elk hunt area 7 by accident. So the G&F employees had to call each person one by one and tell them they didn't actually have a licenses.
Pretty sure the make a list now and check it about 40 times before releasing the results.
