Took my 10 year old son out for a quick hunt last weekend. He’s never been with me when I’ve filled a tag, so we looked over the bucks and went with the best one. 350 yards with the 145 LRX out of my 7 SAUM.

Hoping to get him squared away with hunters safety for next season!

10/26 PA Public land. Came running in to a grunt call.

I’ve been hunting from my Wyoming cabin for the past few days.
Grunted this guy in for a nice close shot last evening.

This completes my trifecta this year. An elk, a moose and a WT deer. I still have another deer tag for Colorado but will probably pass on it. We’ll see

North ID buck. I actually shot a doe also (extra tag) about an hour before him (hence no game bags for his quarters) and was loading my pack to get her out when I caught movement in the tree line. Him and a buddy came trotting out, and I had just enough time to get a rest and get a shot. Now get to focus on my daughters getting something, the best time of season is just about upon us!
