Lol that's an Amazon deal, you can find it searching "custom Richardson 112 hat." I wore it ironically hunting in Montana this year and was talking to this dude from North Dakota and he was like "where are you guys from?" "Kansas." And he didn't say anything but looked very confused.
I was gonna ask if you wore it to MT??🤣

Absolutely hilarious. In Idaho this year we saw some “Hunt your own state” hats with the state of Idaho on them and my buddy had to buy them while we put a beat down in deer and elk as out of staters 😂. It’s funny people complaining that people are hunting their state. If I don’t come someone else will since all the tags sell out, ask your commission to sell less tags if you really want less out of state hunters but don’t complain when your department of wildlife has a shortage of funds.

I personally love seeing out of state hunters in my state and root for them and hope they have an awesome time and tell all their friends to apply. Doesn’t effect me and our state gets more funding for wildlife.

Idaho OTC opener. I spotted him across canyon, skylined, 10 minutes before shooting light and my heart sunk as he fed over the top. I repositioned a bit closer and he looped back around to the face I was watching. Perfect shot from 450 and he dropped in his tracks.View attachment 776203

MT general season muley. It was fun hunting these guys with a rifle during the rut for the first time.

My friend's Uncle a few years ago decided he would like to come out to Colorado for a mule deer hunt. He finally drew a tag at the ripe ol' age of 77. He has health limitations so it was going to be a difficult endeavor. That said there was a great deal of pressure on my friend and my shoulders to find him a respectable deer as this might be his only chance since drawing tags has become more difficult.

There was pretty large snow storm for the time of year. This made travel and scouting prior to the hunt quite fun and treacherous. We were not seeing much during the week leading up to the opener.

Thankfully the snow stopped before sunrise of opening day and We were able to get it done on the first morning of 3rd season.

My friend also drew a tag for the same season

Sitting here at my computer I kinda wish my home state did some NR stuff differently. Our game office doesn't really do much in the way of management. It took a recent FOIA request just to get deer harvest reports for years 2021 and later. I can't think anything other than incompetence at play. Anyway, I kinda grumble when I see NR's about, but then I always end up talking to them and they're nice and I usually point them in the right direction if I can. Haven't run across a single jerk yet.

Wife got her first kill ever on a muley doe during CO 4th season. Had our boys with us, which made it even better. Gotta get her on the rifle more often now for some future hunts.
