I would definitely have a spotter and a digiscoping adapter. Ive taken several videos through mine the last few times ive been to Alaska and I cant imagine going without it now. I have the Ollin.

I agree with what the others have said. I would pick up a wolf tag if that is an option for you. And bring your chair if that will help you be comfortable and glass longer.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Gear felt pretty dialed:
-using the nixwax rewaterproof wash on the Arcteryx jacket was a big plus
-I used drops but would bring a sawyer mini as well next year to instantly drink when we hit water. I’m kinda a water hog.
-I didn’t bring baskets for my trecking poles, I won’t make that mistake again in tundra.
-I brought 3k food per day and for me that’s too much. 2-2200 was plenty but I would add bone broth.

We did a 3k up and 3k down in a 20 hour period that included a bivy in a creek bed. I’ve never been more tired in my life. From now on my stove and some calories will be coming out for glassing sessions. I picked up the Mont Bell Bivy bag before and paired with my MH puffy pants it made for a decent night of sleep out. I also used my Kifaru Sheep tarp several days and have sense added 4 stakes and 2 extra guy outs.

Sounds like this fall has been tough hunting as far as seeing boars. The few people I know that went this fall all had amazing trips but came home without a bear.

That's a bummer you didn't end up taking a bear but either way it still sounds like one heck of an adventure and that's what counts!

Hope you have a fantastic hunt. Enjoy all that it holds as you will have memories forever. Take lots of pictures. Make sure you have a way to charge your cell phone for more pictures.
I hunted with Ovis Outfitters late August 2019. Had a fantastic time and got a 7 1/2" grizzly bear that was 14 years old. Hunted the north side of the Brooks Range.
