Finally got a chance to do some hunting and I notched my archery tag on this beautiful blacktail.

First animal with the bow! Only had 2 days to hunt and got him first morning at 20 yards still hunting solo. Grateful!

Just got my euro back from beetle cleaning. Rough scored 135 3/8 Gross and 131 2/8 Net. Not that score is everything but it is kinda fun knowing what I'm looking at.

Wa late buck. Third buck killed within 300 yards in this patch of timber. Still hunting the timber ghost is a hunt like no other!
Kinda funny, I saw the 6mm thread here and it inspired me to take a 243 on this hunt.
I slapped this rifle together Tuesday night, load dev Wednesday, cut the barrel to 16" and confirmed zero and load was still good Thursday, drove to WA after wife got off work from Montana, bought lisence/tag in Spokane. 2 hrs sleep.
In the timber at shooting light, killed this buck about 11:30 Friday!
It helps I've hunted that patch for a lot of years!
