I was fortunate to take this buck on my own place in Montana. I spent a ton of time in the stand and he’s one of my proudest achievements.

First buck I have shot in NH with a rifle, 30 yards with a 45-70 open sights

By far my biggest buck to date! My dad and I measured him at 160 3/4” when I got home. I was out there by myself, so the photos were taken off of my glassing tripod with my phone leaning on my bino adapter… Harvested in Texas on 11/16/2024

My 2024 Adirondack buck! I hunt solo all season from a tent deep in the Adirondacks, moving locations often throughout the season in search of another mountain giant, I also self film all of my hunts, I was once again blessed this season with another great ADK buck, it was tough choosing a picture for this contest, it’s my first ever entry… but something about a big Adirondack buck getting brought out in my ADK Guide Boat seems to fit the narrative of how I hunt now, and the hunters of years past!

His first buck at age 7. Got to watch him wear out his front feet working a scrape before he presented a good shot. These are the days!

WV opening day

WI rifle. I hit this buck with a bow on Halloween - had to watch him walk by at 20 yards because I couldn't get my bow pulled up as he came in while I was just getting in the tree. I rattled him back in, shot him at 30 yards and sadly knew I hit him further back than desired. Left him overnight, tracked him, lost blood, brought in a tracking dog, body searched, and no luck. He reappeared on cameras and was noticeably still rutting hard over the past few weeks. Yesterday I was able to catch up with him and get him with a rifle. Fate or luck, I'll take it! Incredibly tough animals.
